Valentina LaPier
Blackfeet
Valentina LaPier was born in Browning, Montana, and is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Tribe. Raised in various places
throughout the western United States, Valentina moved back to the Blackfeet Reservation in 2000. Currently, she splits her
time between East Glacier and Kalispell, Montana.
Valentina LaPier est née à Browning, dans le Montana. Elle fait partie de la tribu des Pieds-Noirs. Élevée dans plusieurs
villes de l’ouest des États-Unis, Valentina est retournée vivre dans la réserve indienne des Pieds-Noirs en 2000. Elle partage
actuellement son temps entre East Glacier et Kalispell, dans le Montana.
Donna “The Strange” Langhorne

Donna Langhorne is a member of Fishing Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan. She is a self-taught visual artist who selfidentifies professionally as “Donna the Strange”. Comfortable in many styles, she has garnered national acclaim in particular
for her work as a Woodlands artist, and especially for exploring how the genre can be used to address contemporary issues
facing Indigenous people.Her work has been supported by the Canada Council, Sk Arts, the Saskatchewan Foundation for the
Arts, and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations. Her Common Truths series of paintings is currently on a three-year
tour through the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils.
Donna Langhorne est membre de la Première Nation Fishing Lake en Saskatchewan. Elle est une artiste visuelle autodidacte.
Elle s’identifie au niveau professionnel comme « Donna l’étrange ». Confortable dans plusieurs styles, elle a recueilli les
acclamations nationales pour son travail comme artiste des bois, et spécialement pour explorer comment le genre peut être
utilisé pour répondre à des questions contemporaines affrontées par les peuples autochtones.
Son travail a été reconnu par Conseil Canada, les Arts de la Saskatchewan, la Fondation Saskatchewan des Arts et la Fédération
des nations autochtones souveraines. Sa série de peintures Common Truths est actuellement sur une tournée de trois ans grâce
à l’Organisation des Conseils d’art de la Saskatchewan.
Diane Levesque

Diane was born in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia. She is a proud member of the Dzawada’enuxw First Nations
(Kingcome Inlet, Alert Bay and Guilford Island, BC). Diane’s interest in art began in 2003. As a self-taught artist, her passion
is creating art using a wide range of mediums from painting with acrylic, oils, watercolors, and alcohol inks, to creating pottery,
beaded & leather jewellery, and metal art. Diane is also an active member in her community of Prince George, BC. She is the
President of the Northern Indigenous Arts Council (NIAC), is on the Board of Directors of the Community Arts Council (CAC) of
Prince George and District and Arts BC. Diane aspires to continually learn from those she meets from all walks of life.
Diane est née dans la belle ville de Vancouver, en Colombie-Britannique. Elle est fière d’être membre des Premières nations
Dzawada’enuxw (Kingcome Inlet, Alert Bay et Guilford Island, C.-B.).Diane a commencé à s’intéresser à l’art en 2003.
Autodidacte, elle a pour passion de créer des œuvres d’art en employant une vaste gamme de médiums : peinture à l’acrylique
et à l’huile, aquarelle et encres à l’alcool, mais aussi poteries, bijoux en perles et en cuir, et sculptures en métal. Diane est
également une membre active de sa communauté de Prince George, en Colombie-Britannique. Elle est présidente du Northern
Indigenous Arts Council (NIAC) et siège aux conseils d’administration du Community Arts Council (CAC) of Prince George and
District et d’Arts BC. Diane aspire à apprendre continuellement de ceux qu’elle rencontre dans tous les milieux.
